Children's health insurance, at least as a stand alone policy, seems to be an endangered species. Earlier this year Golden Rule (United HealthOne) announced they would no longer issue child only health insurance. A few weeks later Humana announced they would stop issuing child only health insurance.
Last week Blue Cross of Georgia (BCBSGA) indicated they have filed new plans and rates with the state of Georgia. The current portfolio will no longer be available after 9/23/10 and the very popular Blue Value and Blue Value Select plans have already been pulled off the market.
Now comes word that Aetna will cease to issue child only health insurance as of 10/1/2010.
Obamacare is on a roll.
