Save Medicare By Making You Wait

Medicare is a leaking ship that is taking on water fast. To plug the hole in the federal budget, Congress is considering something novel. Denying Medicare coverage to anyone who is not yet age 67.

You pay for Medicare your entire working life then if you make it to age 65 it's not there. So you have to work 2 more years (if you can) or look for individual health insurance from private insurance carriers.

Problem with that is, it doesn't exist.

When Congress took over health insurance for seniors back in 1965 there was no reason for health insurance companies to continue offering major medical to those age 65 or older, so you can't buy health insurance after you turn 65 even if you wanted to.

Someone stop these people before they do something stupid.

Oh yeah, too late . . .
